A toilet has more to it than it meets the eyes. Like it or not, your toilet plays a very important role in your lifestyle. Although you may think that is the filthiest part in the house, still you will never be able to shun its importance in the morning. Moreover, your toilet plays a greater role in boasting your lifestyle when a visitor has an emergency. So sometimes it becomes really important to be careful while choosing your toilet.
Broadly there are two variations of toilets, the one piece and a two piece variants. But we can categorize them into the Round Bowled and the Elongated Bowled ones as well. Toilet bowls are either elongated or round. The Round ones are the traditional ones and are still quite popular due to its less space consumption not to mention the cheaper price. Elongated ones are known more for their comfort (as you can see here).
One Piece Toilets:
Toilets with the bowl and the flush tank attached together are called one-piece toilets.
Pros: These toilets are really easy to install. Since both the parts come together, they kind of consume less space too. The best part about these toilets is the reduced chances of leakage.
Cons: The cleaning part becomes a pain sometimes. So does the repairing part. If either one of the flushing system or the bowl needs repairing, you have to mend the entire structure. The choices about bowls and flushes also reduce.
Two Piece Toilets:
As the name suggests, here the bowl and the flushing tank comes separately.
Pros: Since you can have separate types of flushing systems and bowls, your choices increase manifolds. We all should be a more careful about the environment and stopping water wastage is a primary concern. With two piece toilets you can buy a flushing system with minimum water consumption (and just as with our faucets, we do like water saving technolgies). Cleaning these toilets is very easy. Just separate the parts and clean at your ease.
Cons: Installation can be a real headache.
There will always be debates and personal choices, but do give these facts a thought when it comes to buying or installing a new toilet.
